Keenan is committed to having a positive impact on our immediate community and the world at large. We strive to make a difference.

Improving our Communities

We work to improve our local communities through a variety of programs such as our Holiday Charity Drive that supports local foodbanks, outreach centers and individual families that are adopted by the office. We encourage arts in the community through our support of the Torrance Cultural Arts Center. When disaster strikes, Keenan provides help where we can, teaming up with our employees through a matching gifts program.

Keenan is dedicated to education and supporting young people in the community. Over the years we have participated in programs that provide opportunities for young people. The Corporate Work Study Program with Verbum Dei High School and business intern programs where students gain practical experiences so they can make the transition from school to career. Keenan also serves on the board of the Hispanic Outreach Taskforce and the board of African-American Insurance Professionals Association. Keenan provides scholarships to people in the industries we partner with to further their education and advancement. We support local schools each year through our School Supply Drive, to provide school supplies for needy children in the area.

Green Initiative

Keenan is dedicated to creating a greener workplace which can mean a lighter ecological footprint and a healthier, more productive work environment. We recently moved our data center to a virtual server environment which has reduced our energy consumption by 30%. Keenan replaced all our old desktop computers with more energy efficient systems to further reduce energy waste. We are paperless where possible using email and the intranet to communicate internally. We use advanced imaging systems that reduce the amount of paper needed to store large documents. We use video and teleconferencing for more meetings and training to conserve the energy and resources required for travel. We participate in various recycling programs to reduce waste of paper, printing supplies and other consumables. A special task force has been formed to ensure that Keenan continues to enhance its environmental responsibility.
